Every fall the trees at the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum burst into autumn colors before the arrival of winter. Here are a few of the spectacular displays on exhibit.

Geek Factor

The terms ‘bonsai’ and ‘penjing’ mean trees in pots. They are regular trees, not exotic varieties, trained to grow how the artist wishes. Therefore the trees’ leaves change colors in the fall as untrained, full size trees do.
