The purpose of this page is to inform you how and when The Tree Topper® and I will disclose relationships we may have with other people, companies, and organizations. (The Tree Topper is a legal entity, hence the “we.”)
To state the policy simply, when an entity donates or offers at reduced cost products that are featured you will be made aware of this relationship. If someone performs a significant favor, such as providing special access, you will be made aware of this. If we are in the position of receiving a commission on product sales, you will be made aware of this. We do not want to appear biased or have the appearance of a conflict of interest. And we would like to publicly thank those that help me help you.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) publishes Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (PDF document). The following statements address the requirements of these guides and how The Tree Topper will conduct disclosure:
